RESIDENT ASSISTANTS

The Residential Programmes Team is led by the Residential Services Officer and the Residential Services Manager under the direction of the Village Director. The team consists of a number of Resident Assistants (RAs) who live at the Village and are students at the University of Canberra.

The team operates within the Village 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support, make sure that the Village runs smoothly and that a pleasant environment is maintained. If you are having a great time and creating lots of noise late at night it will often be a Resident Assistant who comes to remind you that your neighbours may not be enjoying themselves as much as you! They are also there to provide assistance to residents who are experiencing difficulties or just to provide a friendly face for those who need someone to talk to.

It is the Resident Assistant team that ensures the Village constantly has an exciting list of social events planned and that all residents have the opportunity to interact with each other and the broader community.

All RAs are trained in conflict resolution, first aid and a range of other areas relating to running the Village and assisting residents.
